The principal of Connells Point Public School – Department of Education
Education is Therese Corben’s passion and during her career, she has worked as a classroom teacher, a consultant, in student services providing equity and opportunities for students with learning difficulties and disabilities, as an Assistant Principal, a Deputy Principal and a Principal. Therese specialises in working collegially with teachers and community members to provide the best professional learning for the school community.
Therese has also lectured at University to education students and been a leader in a national education program to raise the standards of students across the spectrum of learning. Over the past three years, Therese has been lucky to be a part of a program called LEAP (Leading Educators Around the Planet), which has enabled her to travel to Finland, Canada and Singapore to work with leading educators in these international systems to not only learn from them but bring back sound strategies and ideas that help improve learning within the context of our own schools.
Therese’s rewarding career enables her to continually improve her knowledge, plan directions for learning and to work collegially to provide the best education for all students in her care.
