Michael commenced his Psychiatric training in the UK and completed it in Australia where he has gone on to gain specialist training in the treatment of drug and alcohol disorders.
He works part time at St Vincents Hospital Sydney as the Clinical lead to the highly successful Homeless Health Service and also works part time in private practice based at the Sydney Clinic in Bronte. He specialises in dual diagnosis clients, where common psychiatric conditions become complicated by substance and behavioural addiction, but also sees general psychiatry and straight forward substance abuse cases.
He offers occupational, health & safety and mental health and addiction support to a number of major Australian airlines and is a founding member of the Australian HIMS, an peer support and monitoring program for aviation.
Michael also has experience of legal report writing and spent 7 years as the Medical Superintendent of St Vincents Hospital NSW.
He is a keen surfer who plays guitar and enjoys gardening when there is no swell!
